While in the military I primarily worked in law enforcement, but also held multiple administrative positions. After separating from the military I decided to pursue an education in Business. I graduated from Joliet Junior College and then transferred to Lewis University, where I graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Business Finance. I always gave my best effort while pursing my degree and was proud to graduate with honors.After graduating I began working as an Accounts Payable Analyst at CommScope. My main duties consisted of conducting weekly payment runs, investigating and resolving daily payment issues, and coordinating with our Vendor Master team in order to update vendor accounts. While working at CommScope I became very familiar with SAP, as it was the primary system used to complete my daily tasks. I am currently working as an Accountant at the Department of Veteran Affaires where I learned to navigate various government systems. My current position focuses on financial analysis, reconciling account balances, and compiling monthly reports. I consider myself an advanced user of Excel and I am constantly learning new ways to use it to my advantage.
