This semester I'm starting my Master's in Finance at the University of Maryland Smith School of Business to complement my B.S. in Economics and my minor in Actuarial Mathematics. My primary fields of interest are finance, coding, economics, data-analysis, accounting, and mathematics.I have good experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, as well as their Google equivalents. I know how to code in Python, JavaScript, MATLAB, and R and am happily willing and able to learn any other coding languages or technical skills that I might need. This summer I am building a full stack web application using Node and studying more advanced programming languages and concepts to complement my other skills.

TutorEducation One May 2022 - Aug 2022Rockville, Maryland, United StatesOver the summer of 2022 I worked as a tutor to more than fifty students at Education One in Rockville, a position that required me to teach a variety of subjects to anywhere from one to three students at any given time. For example, it wasn't out of the ordinary for me to be teaching SAT Grammar to an 11th grader while simultaneously explaining logarithm rules to a 9th grader while also explaining foundational Mathematics - multiplying negative numbers, distribution, etc - to a student in elementary school, going back and forth between each student as they completed their assigned tasks. At the beginning of the summer I signed on as a Mathematics Teacher but soon took on the additional responsibilities of teaching grammar, trigonometry, and SAT Reading and Writing. This was made all the more challenging due to the fact that schedules often changed over the course of a day, which meant that many days I had little time to prepare for each lesson, requiring me to think up the most efficient ways to explain a complicated concept while I was teaching it.

Resident AssistantUniversity Of Dayton Aug 2020 - May 2021Dayton, Ohio, United StatesAs a sophomore I worked as a Resident Assistant at the University of Dayton, where I was responsible for managing a floor of forty first-year students. My day-to-day work included setting and enforcing floor rules, arranging, hosting, and managing meetings with the students on my floor, and making sure my residents followed the University Code of Conduct and COVID Guidelines. In addition to the day-to-day work, I was also required to make rounds several times a semester with another RA to ensure that the whole dorm was compliant with university policy, all while attending and completing the work for my six classes.
