He has:• As the CERT/CC Engineering Process and Verification Lead, I lead the creation of an organizational software development lifecycle in order to unify the divergent software development approaches throughout the CERT/CC engineering department. I also established a consistent software project management approach for planning and tracking the various software project initiatives. Due to the versatility of the tools selected in support of the software development lifecycle, many of the tools and approaches have expanded beyond engineering and into the broader CERT/CC division.• Conducted quantitative and qualitative benchmarking of a medical device company’s research and development division’s software development capability, followed by process improvement consulting. Within 15 months, the division achieved a 43% reduction in defects reported by their customers and a 53% reduction in the number of defects found in verification and validation testing, while also improving schedule delivery predictability and maintaining their productivity.• led the transformation of CGI Federal, TPG, SEID division’s approach to developing software, which resulted in a productivity increase of 35%, a 50% reduction in defects found in validation testing, and schedule variance reduced to less than 10%.• coached and guided two separate Naval Oceanographic Office improvement initiatives. I provided both direct technical support and the transition of SEI technology to both software and non-software teams. As a result, these teams were able to meet their technical objectives, while meeting their schedule commitments within a 20% variation.
