With 15+ years of experience in public and non-profit administration, I am a lifelong learner and strategic problem solver who has sought out and succeeded in challenging roles, leading projects and programs to improve organizations and positively impact clients, communities, and stakeholders. I am passionate about contributing to positive workplace culture, and fostering organizational development and personal and professional growth. In my previous role as a Program Manager at the City of San Diego Engineering and Capital Projects Department, I guided the project to rebuild and relaunch our employee talent development and learning program and collaborated to build the City's first-ever talent acquisition section within an individual City Department. Previously, as the Chief of the Office of Program Management/Finance and Administration with the California Department of Transportation Division of Rail and Mass Transportation, I led the strategic planning, budget and finance, audit, contract management, human resources, and information technology sections. I also led the Division's Equity Working Group and Workforce Engagement Center of Excellence. While managing the City of Baltimore's defined contribution retirement plans, I collaborated on the planning and execution of a series of retirement plan enhancements to improve the retirement readiness and financial wellness of City employees that culminated with earning national recognition as Public Defined Contribution Retirement Plan Sponsor of the Year in 2016.I earned a Master of Science in Urban Policy Analysis and Management from The New School's Milano School and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University at Buffalo, graduating with Magna cum laude honors.I have advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Excel, Project, SharePoint, Teams, and Visio. I am a skilled user of Asana, Miro, Power BI, and Smartsheet. I am currently pursuing the Google Project Management Certificate and completed the Cal DOT Leadership Training Program in 2021.
