Proficient in all areas of fine art design and execution, I have created hundreds of pieces for both private and public collections over the past two decades. Stone, wood, bronze, aluminum, steel, and concrete have all been used extensively in this work, executed to the highest standards. I have produced over 30 public art pieces from Jacksonville, Florida to Hekinan, Japan. I have managed project budgets as large as $100,000, met even the most demanding timeline constraints, worked with structural engineers to meet exacting construction and safety codes, and helped to serve the needs of the community the art was designed for. Community involvement has been a significant factor in many public projects. I have worked with hundreds of children to include elements of their art in the final piece. This has involved outreach to schools, hospitals, the Rise N Shine Foundation, and community centers. One summer was spent working inside the Maple Lane Juvenile Correction Facility to carve three monumental cedar logs. I worked directly with the young inmates inside the prison for eleven weeks, helping to translate their ideas and images into cohesive designs, teach them woodcarving techniques, oversee and assist in their work, and refine their efforts into finished works of art. All of this was done while observing the most rigorous protocols.
