Through consultative work done for Sovereign Systems we recognized that there was a gap in the market, that we could replace consulting with a suite of rapidly developed, high quality integrations allowing customers to quickly deploy their VMWare vRA suite of products. We were able to quickly capture a large market of Fortune 500 companies and scale rapidly to meet our customers demands. • Envisioned, coded, maintained and sold the framework, building a 5 million dollar ARR business is under 5 years supporting some of the largest companies in the world. • Rapidly scaled the engineering team hiring a dynamic, going from just me to 15 engineers, in about 2 years. • Implemented and scaled engineering processes as the team grew. Some processes that worked with a smaller team, needed to be change or improved as the team grew. • Hired and trained support and implementation engineers, receiving an average of an 90% net promoter score. • Hired a team of QA engineers to help speed product delivery and meet our customers high demands for quality.

Tools engineering is responsible for delivering enterprise monitoring, automation, and batch scheduling for Fiserv* Implemented PASS Cloud POC utilizing HP CSA, HP OO, VMWare, and HP SA. Integrated multiple endpoints including: CA Monitoring Tools (Spectrum, eHealth, APM), HP Sitescope, DNS, IPAM, Weblogic, MySql, Splunk, and Netscaler. Deployed multi-tier test application to POC cloud including all necessary load balancers, application configuration changes, and databases. POC was delivered in less than 90 days with 3 resources working on the solution part time.* Developed extensive automation capabilities reducing deployment times of BEA Weblogic, Linux Infrastructure, and Monitoring Tooling, saving Fiserv over $375,000 annually in system deployments. * Identified gaps in HP Server Automation tools that prevented Fiserv from easily deploying entire Weblogic Domains. Augmented HP Server Automation, using HP API to automate deployment of entire domains using Jython, Python, HP Server Automation, and HP Opsware orchestration. * Improved existing automation provisioning to integrate with VMware to gather host MAC address for the Linux kickstart, update DNS entries, and perform other various prerequisites reducing manual data entry, and reducing time for system delivery. * Designed and delivered a Client/Server Business Metric Caching REST service to one of Fiserv’s largest clients, providing two way integration of monitoring metrics between Fiserv and the Client. This utilized various API’s of CA APM solution, Python, Perl.

Gaps were identified in the monitoring infrastructure, and I commissioned and developed a separate small team focused on integrating the numerous tools into a complete enterprise monitoring solution. I worked closely with the team providing leadership though vision and direction as well as working hands on with the team. Have a keen ability to identify and troubleshoot issues and problems as well as find quick efficient and often creative solutions to solve the incident.
