I take great pride in the fact that I started from the shop-floor level, studied engineering & worked my way to top managerial roles with UCI. I innately understand the industrial process of design & manufacturing, and translate this knowledge into innovations for customers. As Managing Director of UCI’s manufacturing division, I work closely with the UCI sales teams across Australia to gain & implement customer feedback on products, so that we’re continuously improving our offerings. My role is both unique & important, as my team only serves one customer: our colleagues on the client-sales side of UCI. We translate their feedback into the next evolution of UCI products. This requires us to be nimble, flexible, responsive & innovative, anticipating future needs & preparing ideas in advance.My colleagues on the client-sales side often invite me to participate in new business development, so that I can bring my unique perspective on the viability of products, within customer budget guidelines. Specialised tenders are also an area where I can contribute expertise, so that we can design a custom project that suits.Along the way, I’ve discovered a passion for, & talent in, training and development. I’ve trained UCI team members far & wide across Australia, and continue to educate our employees on all aspects of our product cycle. The great customer service & wealth of knowledge that our teams have today, from coast to coast, is a reflection of UCI’s commitment to staff education. I am pleased to play a part.
