In August of 2023 Dr. Fries accepted the position of Senior Director of Clinical and Professional Affairs at VSP Ventures. In this role his responsibilities are: 1) to define and develop the clinical strategy (technology, patient experience, scope of care etc.) for Ventures go-forward; 2) manage the relationship with the professional across all of Ventures touchpoints – network doctors, prospects, employed doctors, PC Shareholders; and 3) serve as the clinical liaison for internal partners to ensure Ventures alignment with VSP priorities related to the doctor community. Dr. Fries, along with Dr. Dave Anderson & Dr. Jason Miller formed Optometric Management Group in 2020 through a merger of 8 private practice locations in Ohio. Currently, OMG has 18 locations throughout Ohio and is poised to continue growing in 2023 and beyond.
