Located in the Neurology Department at Massachusetts General Hospital, I provide individual, family and group support, listening and coaching for improving health and wellness in relation to epilepsy diagnosis and treatment. I planned, implemented and evaluated virtual support groups for patients. I help patients develop connections with each other at community-based events and fundraising programs, as well as connecting patients to the Epilepsy Foundation, Massachusetts General Hospital resources, and community supports. I maintain a panel of patients that I see weekly and bi-weekly, provide initial intake interviews, and connect to initial supports. I also assist in collecting information and data for the foundation's financial assistance database programs. I assist the department of neurology with developing new projects, as well as supporting current programs and research offerings (data management, analysis, coding, medical scribing in memory disorder and epilepsy/neurophysiology clinics, quality improvement). I support patients who are admitted to the epilepsy monitoring unit and inpatient units with recreation, clinical tasks, and emotional support.
