Senior Network Architect
Current• In this role responsible for the network infrastructure including two data centers, six campus environments, and 1350+ remote locations (retail stores).• Acting as network lead for two Senior Network Engineers, one Network Engineer, and one Network Administrator• Leading the effort to implement Cisco ACI for two data centers, initial design includes one stand alone fabric for each data center with a future design to include MSO to create an active-active data center.• Design the upgrade of network environment for three campus environments including edge, core, and access layer.• Played integral part in migrating firewall services from Cisco ASA to Cisco Firepower. AnyConnect VPN services will remain on the Cisco ASA solution• Leading the effort to upgrade the 1350 remote locations from a mix of Sonicwall and Cisco ISR to Meraki as the SDWAN solution. The Meraki solution includes the MX64, MX67c, MG, MS, MR, and MV devices. This is a large effort that has been underway for two years with and estimate of 2 additional years to complete. Current footprint 1246 networks, 5495 devices.• Using automation tools including Ansible migrated 400+ WAN solution for remote sites from MPLS to broadband implementing DMVPN to each data center. Using automation tools allowed for using non-network engineers to actively complete the required configuration changes to move from MPLS to broadband.• Using API’s in both the Meraki, Infoblox, and ACI environments to automate configuration, required changes, reporting, etc.• Played integral part in the reorganization of the data centers optimizing the location of both network and systems hardware allowing for reducing the footprint of the primary data center by 4 racks.• Heavy engagement with Meraki SDWAN solution deploying, managing, monitoring, etc. MX appliances, MS switches, MR, MV, MG, and MT devices. Utilize Ansible and API’s to provide a high level of support for the Meraki environment.
