I am a highly-trained Psycho-education and Social Emotional Learning professional with over 13 years of experience in the "helping" professions. From Early Childhood students as young as 3 years of age to Emerging Adults recently graduated from college, to clinical mental health IOP/PHP settings, I have helped individuals of many different ages grow as individuals, overcome obstacles, solve problems, learn skills, and pursue their goals. With an academic background in critical thinking (Philosophy) and social justice (Gender and Women's, And Sexuality Studies), my approach is the synthesis of several important influences. I am expertly trained in Positive Discipline and the adult-modulated "Empowering People In the Workplace," two versions of a Restorative Justice (RJ) behavioral and team-management strategy based on Social Emotional Learning (SEL), developmental neuroscience, and the pragmatic social psychology of Alfred Adler and Rudolf Dreikurs. My clinical work is also informed by the framework of balancing change, validation/acceptance, and dialectics as espoused by Marsha Linehan in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I also hold training in CBT, Behavior Activation, and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). I am a dutiful and compassion leader who knows how to lead, manage, support, and cheerlead others in order to promote their best work, and indeed, to encourage their best selves.
