Budget Division Manager
Current• Responsible for all aspects of developing, presenting, and managing a $750M Multi-Fund Based Budget• Expert understanding of budgets related to Personal Services, Self-Insurance, Capital Projects, Grants, Internal Allocations, Administrative Fees, and Department Operations • Core strengths include GAAP, accounting, database management, reporting, auditing, and policy development • Review and approve Budget Amendments, Journal Entries, Inter-fund Transfers, Internal Allocations, Administrative Fees, Debt Payments, Project Budget Carryforward, Year End Cleanup, Fund Balance Adjustments• Successfully lead the Division through a transition in Financial Systems• Personally designed and re-organized the County’s account categorization structure to solve Countywide reporting and analysis issues • Present macro data to every level of consumer, including Politicians, Executives, Program Managers, Financial Staff, and Citizens• Prepare regular Financial Statements, including Budget to Actual, Projections, Fund Forecasts, Cash Flow, Exception Reports• Focus on technological and process improvements has allowed me to right-size staff while maintaining service levels (From 12 FTEs down to 8 FTEs since 2015)
