Prior to this role, the UK, AU and US IT operated independently, collaborating where possible, but with no formal decision maker or group-wide direction. The group consists of 3 primary sites and roughly 300 users.- Re-engineered global backup strategy, backing up over 100Tb of data nightly (over 500Tb of raw storage across the group) and implemented VM replication for disaster recovery.- Implemented a single Service Desk for helpdesk ticket sharing across the group, centralized asset, software licensing and contract tracking.- Enhanced email threat protection with sandboxing, ongoing security awareness training and preemptive phishing- Migrated traditional PBX's to a 3CX/VoIP solution, saving over 60% in call costs and allowing location independent use cases.- GDPR compliance and response team member.- Migrated from fixed point Polycom video conferencing to Zoom Rooms.- Migrated all web hosting to AWS/EC2/LightSail.
