I have been in Home Healthcare since 1993, first as CIO of a Colorado agency, then as an industry analyst and reporter. For ten years, I apprenticed under the late Tom Williams, the most highly regarded technology expert home care and hospice have ever known.After Tom's passing, I formed Rowan Consulting Associates, through which I continued the mission to educated providers of in-home care services and the technology companies that support them. My skills and experience make me suited to do this in three ways.Home Care Technology: The Rowan Report is a weekly online newsletter that I have wrote, edited, and published from 1998 through 2023. Home Healthcare providers and hospices and their software company partners respected me as an objective, fair voice when I brought news and analysis to my thousands of newsletter subscribers. In Q4 2023, I turned over day-to-day management of the enterprise to my longtime Director of Marketing, Kristin Rowan, owner of the Girard Marketing Group. Now in semi-retirement, I am able to focus my part-time efforts on helping in-home healthcare providers promote their business through online reputation building skills, improve caregiver recruiting and retention through sophisticated technologies I have learned over the years, and continue offering consulting services for their difficult technology selection projects.
