Teaching and supervising students, thereby facilitating their own personal route to growth is even more rewarding and a humbling experience too. I thoroughly enjoy breaking down complex matter to its most elementary constituents to convey a message, whether that be in a teaching or research context. Carefully navigating the boundary of the unknown and yet being able to deliver results is something I strive for.The unique combination of teaching and doing research while obtaining my PhD, has, in the proverbial sense, stimulated me to become a jack of all trades, and even a master in some!

My research focuses on supercritical CO2 extrusion processes, in particular bio-based. The aim is to further increase our knowledge about such systems through applying Computational Fluid Dynamics studies, as well as constructing dynamic models to perform (extended) life-cycle analyses of bio-based polymers that include important feedbacks between sectors.
