My research focuses on supercritical CO2 extrusion processes, in particular bio-based. The aim is to further increase our knowledge about such systems through applying Computational Fluid Dynamics studies, as well as constructing dynamic models to perform (extended) life-cycle analyses of bio-based polymers that include important feedbacks between sectors that are typically omitted in conventional LCA studies.Expected end-date: 01-07-2025

As Lecturer in the IEM Design Group, my activities and tasks include amongst others:- Coordinating and teaching my own course System Dynamics, which introduces 1st year bachelor students to systems thinking and modeling - Teaching various courses in (Research) Methodology- Innovate in teaching methods- Supervising bachelor and master theses - Participating in curriculum revisions

As an active member of YoungRuG I help organize activities for personal growth and development for young professional staff. Together with some other members from YoungRuG and colleagues from the HR department, I was responsible for setting up the mentor program for professional staff back in 2019, which is a popular and high valued program.

Responsible for data analysis and (process) optimization of separation technology.

Vice-Chair of the Programme Committee Industrial Engineering & Management, which consists of 6 student members and 6 staff members. The committee discusses curriculum-related matters and formulates/suggests improvements where possible. As vice-chair I'm responsible for the student side of the committee and to chair the meetings if the chair is absent.

Editor in Chief and Chairman of the Lugograaf: magazine of the study association TBV Lugus which releases 3 hard-copy editions each year, and online articles on a weekly basis. Around 12 editors, 4 senior editors and 2 members of the design team are involved in the process.
