Led due diligence with multiple prospective purchasers, negotiated key deal terms/structure, optimized price, and expedited transaction completion in tight time constraints while managing amongst 6 stakeholder groups. Negotiated a C$5 million warrant agreement with a multinational food and beverage player and their in-house investment arm to incentivize a national product launch and long-term sales contract.  Initiated an organizational restructuring in collaboration with the management team to reduce operational burn from ~C$2 million to <$400k per month. Assembled a cross-functional team comprised of management, scientists, engineers, and external consultants to build a life cycle assessment model to quantify environmental impacts of manufacturing operations to support product claims. Collaborated with the partner and senior consulting group at Deloitte to prepare a business case and investor materials including a unit cost analysis, 5-year P&L forecast, market opportunities/sizing, and capital project analysis. Prepared, analyzed, and presented quarterly financial statements in accordance with ASPE to the Audit & Risk Committee chaired by the CFO of the company’s largest institutional investor. Collaborated with CFO, internal staff, and external auditors to prepare the corporation’s audited financial statements. Conducted financial modeling and analysis of new business opportunities including the evaluation of potential joint ventures to manufacture, distribute, and sell food products in the US and Asia.
