Tim is a part-time partner with Willcox & Savage, P.C., and formerly headed the firm's Intellectual Property Group. He is also an author of fiction, nonfiction, and book reviews. To date, Stark House Press has published six of his thriller and mystery novels. Tim concentrates his practice on trademark and copyright counseling, registration, and enforcement; trade secret protection; e-commerce and other web-related issues; patent and software licensing; technology agreements; and intellectual property litigation. He performs due-diligence reviews in connection with mergers and acquisition transactions and counsels clients regarding noncompetition, nondisclosure, and other employment issues.In 2018 Tim was elected chair of the Board of Governors of the Intellectual Property Law Section of the Virginia State Bar. In 2014 the U.S. Secretary of Commerce appointed Tim to a second three-year term on the Trademark Public Advisory Committee of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Tim has been an active member of the International Trademark Association ("INTA") since 1995, has chaired or co-chaired three INTA subcommittees, and has written and edited numerous articles for the "INTA Bulletin." In addition, he has taught several continuing legal education seminars and moderated several INTA Table Topics and Roundtables.
