I've been involved in cybernetics research for over 20 years which has culminated in a finished model of the collective human intellect. In its rigorous form - once the 'prototype' is realized, it will provide for full sentience (or sentient-like "quality indicators") to arise in the cyber-systems of tomorrow. My primary mission in life has been to assure for the a "greater good" as the technological curve plays out. For me, this commitment to educational initiatives for an informed pubic, via the elements of jurisprudence, has meant bootstrapping ("thus far") an outreach to the various eco-cultural sectors. My group & company seeks willing parters & associates to help underwrite the cost and logistics of both the outreach & procurement of the imminent prototype. Our main problem is the preservation of our relative anonymity despite the efforts made in the outreach... and it's with good reasons that our desire to remain "low-profile" persists. Otherwise, we would simply publicize on radio & television, and make significantly greater strides in our outreach than we have to date. We are hoping to locate a suitable spokesperson that can understand & explain the technology without sounding alarmist, But the fact is, with or without my group's involvement, the first prototype of Applied Machine Intellect (AMI) will appear within the decade so we are on "borrowed time" before its advent. Needless to say, many issues need to be addressed and many concerns assuaged BEFORE "AMI" "hits the skids." This technology is like no other, in that it will be humanity's defining moment; Ray Kurzweil refers to its "logical end-state" as the "singularity": However, extent to which it becomes a "Prometheus UNbounded" or a "Pandorian Shipping Crate," depends on just how we manage the transitions we "embrace" or allow!Specialties: We cannot come to the belief that we are the only group to have met with our level of success in this area of investigation. Still, we may have the most successful model - "accu-rated" exhaustively through innumerable accountancies placed upon countless HRDs or Human Reconnoitering Dialogues... and we doubt that few have established a reliable "implicate base" to the extent which we have, and without it, full sentience cannot be achieved.
