As a Software Support Technician, my role is to take support tickets and calls from our English-speaking and French-speaking customers. This consists of helping them understand the varied features in the self-storage management software or developing additional bespoke features to suit or improve their workflow. For this, I need to have a deep understanding of the program and an efficient style of researching ways to help with more complicated asks. I work with SQL and XML code to create many different reports, scripts, and new features for our customers, many of which are the biggest self-storage chains in Europe. I do installations and training sessions for customers, online and in-person, to set them up with the necessary tools to manage their business. I have also attended a trade show in Paris, representing the company and showing the product to existing and potentially new customers in the self-storage industry. It is essential to keep a nice relationship with our customers and work to their needs, as the company's support system is one of its core points. This is something I understand deeply so I always strive to fulfil our customers' asks to the absolute best of my ability.

I was part of the three-person librarian team at the French School. We managed a total of 700 French books and films. The students from the eldest third of the classes would take out and return items through me. I was consistently trusted with other jobs, like fixing any tech problems teachers had and maintaining the rented school in perfect order.My time at the French School helped me build my confidence in teamwork and independent work as well as my organisation and punctuality skills to meet tight deadlines. Furthermore, I was able to improve upon my communication skills as I had to liaise effectively with the teachers, students, parents, and my co-workers, mostly in my non-native language. I believe these skills apply to all employment positions.
