Led the Omaha Public Power District's economic development team in three key areas of economic development (business attraction, business retention and expansion, community economic development) jointly with local, state, regional development organizations and other development partners.

•Managed the business retention and expansion survey program; including coordinating staff efforts to conduct surveys and develop strategies for using survey information to improve existing Department programs and state policies as they relate to targeted industries and public policy.•Developed and managed programs for information technology as it relates to community economic development; including the overall recruitment strategy for information technology companies and industries. •Oversaw the NEDED's entrepreneurial and business start-up programs and staff; including developing strategies to enhance the Department’s entrepreneurial and business start-up programs to coordinate with public and private sector efforts to create more home-grown technologies and businesses. •Core team member for the 2010 – Nebraska Competitive Advantage Assessment. Supported research and implementation including the development of new legislative packages that created the Talent and Innovation Package TI2, that created many new programs such as InternNE, Site and Building Development Fund•Assisted and led specific business attraction and expansion projects across Nebraska and provided assistance in preparation for business attraction through site and building development.•Led community-based efforts to advance local and regional information technology standards and programs to help communities attract information technology companies and workforce. •Managed the Department's programs for population and labor recruitment; including working with public and private organizations on programs to attract population and train workforce for targeted industries in communities and regions.
