Developed and led Development Management Office (DMO). This team focused on developing global development management, design management and project controls business process.

Managed hyperscale datacenter feasibility studies design projects in various APAC markets. Worked on consultant SoW generation, contract negotiation and onboarding.

In 2019 I was tapped to lead design for the new region launch in Sweden. Comprising four new campuses in central and southern Sweden the new region was the first in Europe since 2010. In this role I managed the A/E design teams and their deliverables. I also worked with national power providers Vattenfall on design and deployment of new substations providing power to the new campuses. The new Swedish datacenter campuses set a new standard for deployment of renewable energy and zero-waste sustainability strategies. In late 2019 I was tapped to manage the Design Strategy team within the larger Datacenter Engineering team. I led a team of two architects and one mechanical/electrical/telecoms engineer each. The Design Strategy team managed test-fit generation for greenfield site selections and worked with upstream teams within the Azure organization on new technology rollouts. Our team managed rollout of the Azure Orbital satellite ground station program, worked with Azure on scale-deployable immersion cooling technologies and assisted other teams with design and engineering expertise. I was promoted again in 2019.

In 2016 I worked to develop new datacenter design standards, driving down cost and reducing schedule for Microsoft datacenter builds. Prototypes are in flight for 2018. I also worked to define new processes for regional expansion planning, tying together teams from capacity planning all the way through construction and operations. In 2017 I PM'ed the first global LEED Volume Certification for Datacenters effort certified by USGBC. Microsoft datacenters constructed from 2017 on will be certified LEED Gold under this program. I also PM'ed LEED BD+C & LEED O+M certification for a Microsoft Des Moines datacenter. In addition I PM'ed a confidential high-profile R&D project and achieved a promotion.In 2018 I led a partnership with Modular Datacenter (MDC) vendors exploring deployment of Microsoft's design standard at scale within the modular form factor. I also participated on the Design Strategy team in developing concepts for prefabricated generator and electrical equipment enclosures and continued development on the LEED Volume Certification program.

I managed the architectural design of AWS datacenters worldwide. I was responsible for prototype design and design consultant coordination for projects across the US, APAC and the EU. Prototype Design: My prototypes were adopted as a standard Basis of Design tied to specific MEP and functional design goals and performance metrics. The adopted prototypes have been constructed across AWS regions. Consultant Coordination: I developed relationships with the primary datacenter design firms working globally, located in primary datacenter-specific regions in the US, APAC and the EU. Specific to projects I acted as the Owner's Representative for AWS responsible for design phase scope/schedule/budget issues. Working through these consultant teams I delivered constructed projects in each region of operation.Innovations and Activities: I received two patent applications for specific proprietary architectural features related to datacenters. I worked to assist AWS physical security teams, internal MEP engineering team, AWS finance, and AWS business development with specific architectural issues relative to their fields of work.
