Hello. My name is Tim Scherer. One of the hardest things in life is to admit we fail at reaching many of our goals. Here's a list of some of my more notable failures:Failed English in Junior High SchoolFired from first job when I was 15.Failed to conform in high school.Failed to win a legal case to remain working in the UK.Failed at hundreds of job interviews.I include this list in my summary because, to me, my failures are just as important to me as my achievements. Although my failures do not define me, they have showed me that continually learning, growing, and developing the skills, knowledge, abilities, drive, and strength of character enables one to attain many professional and personal goals in life. For me, these goals included:Completing an undergraduate degree in Communication.Interning for MTV Networks.Managing the public relations and communication for a multi-million dollar Boeing research center.Completing an Masters Degree in Business Administration.Becoming a Social Media Manager at Whole Foods Market.Writing by-line articles in local, regional, and national newspapers and publications.Moreover, my failures helped me to identify weaknesses and develop my strengths, including being:an outstanding writer.a creative mind.a strategic thinker.a superb relationship builder.a humble recipient of criticism.a team player.a realistic goal setter.Everyday I succeed and fail, each helping me grow personally and professionally.
