Timothy Shankar is a Head of Individual Fundraising, Development and Growth at WWF-Singapore. Colleagues describe him as "Timothy was instrumental in helping build WWF’s largest face to face program in Asia for WWF Singapore. I saw him tirelessly build leaders in the two and a half years we worked together. It was this rigor in building leaders that allowed us to grow so fast. He grew from managing small team of 2 to a positon where he now manages our largest F2F team in Singapore, and three channels within face to face fundraising: traditional streets and events face to face, door to door, and face to face lead generation. His hard work, consistently high standards and razor-sharp results focus have been critical to his success. Timothy has high ethical standards and a desire to do the best for the organisation. He’s driven by lots of passion. As a great communicator, this passion quickly becomes infectious. He is also able to very persuasively communicate the vision and strategy, as well as provide the “what’s in it for me” for all his team, so he can build very strong levels of commitment to growth. He has high expectations but marries this with a huge amount of support for his teams which produces great results. He cares deeply and personally for all his team. He is able to support people through change, and build resilience and adaptability - incredibly important traits to build in teams when there is fast growth and often continually evolving systems and practices within the team. What I admired most was how he was able to take on tough feedback and bounce back from it – whether it be from myself, peers, or colleagues, or even his team. As his manager too, I always benefited hugely from Timothy’s openness to give feedback upwards. I appreciated his confidence to question or challenge me. Importantly too he had the capacity to act with professionalism whether his ideas or arguments were accepted or not. In his time at WWF, Timothy has been able to build key skills in recruiting, team management, and coaching skills, progression and succession planning, leadership training, and resource planning and organisation, budget management, incentive/commission design review, and performance management. One of the people I’ve enjoyed managing most in my career. I wish him all the best. "
