Served as the valve project manager for the conversion of the Come By Chance refinery into a world-class renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel refining facility in Newfoundland, Canada. Worked alongside the primary EP contractor to specify, review, and approve control valve, automated on/off valve, and process control instrumentation. Developed a comprehensive valve and instrument database for the purpose of improving commissioning efficiency, tracking procurement activity, expediting orders, and reporting metrics to the project management team. Coordinated the multi-discipline construction of a new control room building to include the Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Control Systems teams. Worked with contractors to complete construction on time and provided weekly progress reports to all stakeholders.

Virgin Islands (U.S.)

Served as the primary customer-facing liaison for control valve and valve automation on a $3.3 billion refinery restart project in the United States Virgin Islands. Provided reports summarizing the cost savings achieved through asset management including analyzing the economic value of valve changes, optimizing inventory levels, and performance/reliability improvements. Surveyed automated and control valve assets to determine suitability for repair or replacement and coordinated proposal activity and logistics to maintain an aggressive project schedule. Created a control valve predictive maintenance program to fully utilize smart instrumentation capabilities to improve plant availability and reduce maintenance costs.
