I am an engineer at Boeing Commercial, where I am working to develop, test, and integrate the Global Aeronautical Distress and Safety System (GADSS). My contributions are centered on developing the logic to automatically detect distress events onboard all aircraft in the Boeing fleet, to inform and prepare necessary personnel to respond appropriately in an emergency situation. Additionally, I lead the integration of GADSS onto the 787 and 777 freighter.Previously employed by General Atomics ASI, where I worked to aid the integration of Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) into national airspace, specifically through the development of Detect and Avoid (DAA) technology. With efforts to align DAA development with applicable standards and regulations, I had active participation in RTCA SC-228: where I worked as a liaison between the committee and GA's DAA development efforts.I am motivated to find new solutions to complex problems and am committed to upholding and improving the safety of the International Airspace System. I look forward to making an impact in the aerospace industry and helping shape the future for both manned and unmanned aircraft.
