I have spent the vast majority of my working life in bicycle shops, promoting a healthy and sustainable lifestyle to people from all walks of life. Over the course of 15 years, my career took me from new bicycle assembler, to service manager, and eventually, owner. As a community development student, I returned to my earliest days engaging the public at a local bicycle advocacy organization. I then wrote my Honors Thesis on the non-commercial roles that bike shops play in their communities. Owning and managing my own shop gave me the ultimate opportunity to explore best customer service practices, brand development and business growth, and small business operations. Now, I get to leverage all of that knowledge and experience into creating processes improvements to ensure the highest quality from overseas manufacturers in the micromobility sector.
