I engaged with Gerdau at the request of SAP to assist with a particular challenging SAP B2B implementation of SAP IIOD (Information Interchange On Demand). The implementation was complicated by three factors; a simultaneous green field SAP implementation, a data center move of the SAP IIOD cloud solution during the QA phase of the implementation, and project team members working from 3 different continents.

PSS World Medical implemented SAP ECC 6.0 with the Vistex add on for Contract Management, Chargebacks, and Rebates. This complex project involved integrating Vistex to existing JD Edward ERP system. Solution scope included SAP ECC 6.0 / Vistex, SAP Solution Manager, and SAP PI 7.1.This project had a very small implementation team. A large amount of the hands-on work was performed by a few individuals. Roles on Project: Lead Infrastructure, Security, and Basis Consultants. Developed and implemented project controls, and deployment methodology. Performed a majority of the basis activities. Configured and patched systems. Implemented Solution manager, Service Desk, Issue Management, and Change Request Management (CharRM). Configured SAP PI and implemented PI design controls and conventions. Provided advanced troubleshooting and performance tuning on interfaces, conversions, and background processes. Developed and maintained cutover strategy and sequence.

Implementation LeadImplemented Cforia Software for Textron Greenlee division. Cforia Software is an Accounts Receivable and Deductions management system. This project involved installation and configuration of the DataXstream Xstream Connector to integrate SAP Ecc 6.0 with Cforia Software. This implementation followed a standard SAP deployment process, it had three significant challenges. Integration of SAP and Cforia, with Cforia hosted in a non-Textron data center, therefore al the integration had to work via VPN. There was significant challenges.
