The Centre Mechtilde is a shelter for women victims of violence. The board ensures sound management practices are applied, and administers at a high-level the organization's major initiatives, strategic planning, finances and human resources. The board also oversees a social housing project.

In the strategic policy team, my colleagues and I lead a wide range of policy and legislative files. We are also contributing to defining and building the policy function for Indigenous Services Canada.
