• Played a fundamental role in the research, design, and implementation of ViDeNet, a global portal and H.323 gatekeeper hierarchy for video conferencing over IP.
• Co-designed and co-implemented Carolina Multicast, a five year pilot for television over IP, which included delivery of twenty channels of IP television.
• Developed and supported video over IP projects for faculty, staff, and students at UNC-Chapel Hill, and cooperating institutions.
