A versatile Project Analyst with experience in finding solutions to a variety of opportunities that lead to cost savings, increased profits, more efficient workflow and customer retention. My role was to facilitate most of the research and value stream mapping for the project and perform a lot of the historical analysis for project management and other service fees that, a project, which garnered $200,000 of additional revenue in its first year. As a department supervisor, I recognized the need to increase the throughput of proposals being sent out to customers. I took it upon myself to develop a solution for this need and present it to the management group, which they agreed was a worthy project to pursue. I started re-engineering the costing engine into an excel worksheet which would provide a more flexible and efficient output. Throughout the designing process, I was required to research and learn advanced Excel formulas and VBA coding. The end result was a a pricing matrix that change the turn around time for quotes from 24 to 4 hours. This new system allowed for a more flexible and robust cost control and reporting tool than the outdated tool they were using. • Created a Freight, Tax and Handling calculator and attached it to the estimating tool. This calculator was key in providing customers with an accurate budget to set for the shipping of a variety of products to over 90 countries and counting. • Developed a tool for the sales and procurement department that promoted proper workflow and established a more repeatable and reliable process. The tool also automated steps in the process by converting the specifications input by sales into a purchase requisition for the vendor and a proposal for the customer. • Developed and implemented an operations cross-training program to increase individual skill sets and allow personnel to be assigned where needed, easing bottlenecks and improving workflow into production. • Analyzed historical data to help provide a framework for project management and other service fees that were untapped, a project, which garnered $200,000 of additional revenue in its first year.
