Please note... I will only accept connection invites to those I know and/or have worked with. If you are a friend or relative who has not worked with me, please find another social network like Facebook to connect with me.Getting past that... One of my main "themes" in life is giving the world tools to help them express their ideas. I have this somewhat utopian idea that it will be a better place if everyone has the tools to exchange ideas. From the early days of my professional career, I have started or contributed my time to public radio stations, and developed software for exchanging email and conferences to/from the Internet and a low-cost computer network called FidoNet. I also was one of the folks that started an early low-cost Internet Service Provider called TLGnet.Currently, I am co-partner in a consulting group called TwoP LLC. Recently I was the VP of Operations at Fandor. I am also the network architect for the Community Broadband Network (CBN) for the City of San Francisco. The CBN connects 40 housing developments as well as non-profits and provides free access to the Internet through 1 and 10Gb/s fiber connections as well as wireless.I am also doing work as an advocate for fiber and unlicensed wireless in the support of community networks. To that, I am a founding member of the Bay Area Wireless Users Group, a founding member and flogger of the Bay Area Wireless Research Network and have written a number of papers and presentations on the technology and regulation behind licensed and unlicensed wireless networks.See below for more...Specialties: RF / Wireless design and deployment, large scale (metro to global) L1 through L3 data networks, routing, VoIP, growing engineering and operations.
