Led healthcare Master Plan strategy and feasibility assessments and led new facility activation and implementation efforts. Key functional activities included leading internal teams, facilitating new process development and linking operational plans to strategic intent.

Major responsibilities included establishing and implementing new strategic planning and annual operating plan processes, leading service line planning, providing executive oversight to cardio-vascular, orthopedic and gastrointestinal service lines and operations, and leading marketing and brand development functions. Position was eliminated as part of major restructuring. Meriter Health System includes a 448-bed, not-for-profit community hospital that is a major teaching affiliate of the University of Wisconsin; a growing multi-specialty Medical Group (60+ during my tenure) and a wholly owned Insurance Plan with 120,000+ covered lives.

Major responsibilities included Board, Executive and Medical Staff-driven strategic planning for the hospital and health system, program development and physician network development. Reporting to the CEO, provided operational leadership for strategic business line and clinical program identification and development, including heart/vascular services, orthopedic/joint service line, hematology/oncology program, inpatient and outpatient imaging services, physical rehab services, and laboratory services. Led the planning and implementation of campus/facility replacement project. The Fore River $85.3 Million Phase I hospital construction and affiliated $16 Million MOB project implementation was complete on time and under budget. Mercy Hospital is a 230-bed, $180 Million facility with three acute care campuses and two urgent care facilities.
