As an Erasmus Mundus Scholar, I am pursuing a joint master's degree in Environmental Contamination and Toxicology, studying at four different universities in Europe: University of Pau and Adour Countries, Norwegian University of Science and Technology, University of Basque Country, and ETH Zurich. My goal is to gain a comprehensive and interdisciplinary understanding of the sources, fate, effects, and risks of environmental pollutants, and to develop solutions for a more sustainable and healthier world.Currently, I am doing my master's thesis in the Environmental Chemistry group at ETH Zurich, where I am working on plastic additives to determine the photochemical age of plastic samples collected from the North Pacific Ocean garbage patch. This project aims to provide insights into the degradation and persistence of plastic pollution in the marine environment and to contribute to global efforts to reduce its impact on biodiversity and human health. I am passionate about applying my analytical chemistry skills and knowledge to address environmental challenges and to work for better change. After my master's, I am willing and open to starting a research-driven role in a related field.
