I serve Amigos Worldwide which supports rural Ugandans to work their work out of poverty and thrive.I have a chapter on “An All-embracing, Contextual, Challenging, Now-and-not-yet Salvation for Ugandan Rural Communities” published in Rodney L. Reed & David K Ngaruiya (eds.), Salvation in African Christianity (Africa Society of Evangelical Theology Series Volume 8: Langham Global Library), 2023.

My family and I served with Emmanuel International, helping local churches in rural areas serve their communities. From September 2010 to December 2013, we ran a Fuel-Efficient Stoves Project in the Iringa area. From January 2014, we were in Mwanza where we began the Emmanuel International Mwanza office which is assisting churches conduct Conservation Agriculture, Tree Planting, Beekeeping, Community Health Education, Entrepreneurship and Women's Empowerment Projects which serve their communities. I also taught at local Bible Colleges and offered teaching and training in pastoral leadership and theology and mission. My wife Rachel also worked with women with albinism or with children with albinism in support groups doing income-generating activities, which she did with the organisation Under The Same Sun (www.underthesamesun.com).

I was privileged to oversee the work of Emmanuel International in Tanzania which seeks to empower local churches in holistic mission among the poor. This work consisted of various community development projects including conservation agriculture, tree planting, beekeeping, community health education, entrepreneurship and water supply as well as teaching trainee pastors in community transformation. We served a team of Tanzanians and expatriates which works in the Mwanza region with Tanzania Assemblies of God and in the Iringa region with the Pentecostal Holiness Mission and the Anglican Diocese of Ruaha.I also taught diploma and degree students at St Paul College, Mwanza. I taught courses in Biblical Interpretation, Genesis, Daniel/Revelation and Missiology.My wife presented 'An Integrated Approach to Community Beekeeping' at the ECHO East Africa Symposium on Sustainable Agriculture 12-14 February 2019 in Arusha, Tanzania.I presented a paper on 'Ephesians 2:11-22 as Inspiration for The Church’s Involvement in Peacemaking and Reconciliation with People with Albinism in Tanzania' at the Africa Society of Evangelical Theology Conference 22-23 March 2019 in Nairobi, Kenya. This was published in Rodney L. Reed & David K Ngaruiya (eds.), Forgiveness, Peace-making and Reconciliation (Africa Society of Evangelical Theology Series Volume 5: Langham Global Library), 2020.I presented a paper on “An East African Perspective on Jesus as Revealer of The Father through his use of The Friend At Midnight Parable as a means for Teaching Powerful Prayer (Luke 11:1-13)” at the Africa Society of Evangelical Theology Conference on Christology in Africa in March 2020. I worked in the field of structural acoustics. This included the development of Statistical Energy Analysis as a high frequency predictive theory for the modelling of vibro-acoustics structures, and the designing of a prototype flat panel loudspeaker using a honeycomb sandwich panel. I finished as Senior Scientist.
