As a Product Development Analyst, I am part of the Product & Change Management team. My main responsibility is identifying, designing and (jointly) implementing products for the business market for energy supply and energy transition. Based on internal and external analysis, product plans are created containing the commercial, financial and operational impact. The business cases and recommendations are presented to the Product Management Board after each phase of the product development process. After successfully finalizing this process, I remain involved as an advisor. A key component for this role is collaborating with other departments to test concepts and products and implement them in current business operations, as well as coordinating changes to the existing product portfolio.

My graduate internship at the OS OSE department focused on value-based pricing strategies and servitization. Due to the high level of confidentiality and company secrets I can't disclose much more other than the fact that my work included interviewing various levels of management, executives and directors.What I can share is that my thesis posed the following research question: What are the barriers and enablers for switching from a cost-plus pricing strategy to a value-based pricing strategy for both manufacturing companies and customers? Important findings related to internal vendor change management, inter-firm collaboration efforts, customer mentality and stakeholder management.I am grateful for the work that I was able to perform (even during a global pandemic), and left ASML with a grateful feeling that I got the chance to contribute to such large and impactful change processes. I want to thank all my supervisors and ASML colleagues who made five years at this company a tremendous time of my life.

With great pleasure, I have worked with multiple professors on various research topics. With my activities ranging from interviewing some industry leaders to transcribing and coding these interesting talks. Moreover, I performed a literature study focussing on the changing business models in the Dutch Smart Energy sector. Over the course of these three years, I refined many skills and I am glad to have been involved in so many tasks (setting up presentations, supporting MSc. students, grading exams for several business courses) and many interesting activities.

I included this job here since I strongly believe that this founded some of my leadership skills. You need to have confidence as a high-school student to teach a packed gym room with more than 30 adults. You need to overcome the preconceptions they might have and express. And also, you need to learn how to balance studying with preparing lessons and working several times a week. I always had a great time pouring so much energy in these classes and had overwhelmingly positive feedback from everyone I worked (out) with.
