Was the sole coverage/maintenance for all network coverage states/areas, 24/7/365. My duties also included performing as, Sales Engineer, Fiber Route Planning/permitting, Project Management, Tech Support, Buyer, Map Management (MapInfo, Streets &Trips, CAD), Site/Equipment drawings in Visio, IP network planning, NOC set-up, establishing Collocation. Various Test Equipment used: OTDR, DWDM Power Meter, SONET Test Gear, Optical Power Meter to name a few.ACD.net

Customer Consulting, equipment and test gear evaluation, Maintain and support all internal telecom equipment as in -48vdc power plant, 150KVA diesel generator, UPS, M13 Mux, CSU/DSU, Smart Jacks. Assist ACD Team member on the phone for DSL and Internet support calls, Sales Engineering and support, and yes, janitorial services. Various Test Equipment used.

Duties included, but not limited to: Gather Detail information as in, Floor Allocation, cable lengths, calculating cable size, Design Diverse Fiber Protection Systems, Cable rack and Aux Channel support, Prepare cable routing paths and a Complete Bill of Material to be used for the project. Prepare Detail Engineering Specification; Prepare a detailed Step-by-Step Installation procedures with assignments, cable and fiber routes and lengths, Mark All required drawings per AT&T requirements. Worked closely with AT&T Engineering and On Site Work Force, Hattech Inc. Installation, Project Management and Quality Control Teams from start to completion of each project.

Hattech was sold just after I left to an EF&I company in Ohio. Hattech did EF&I work for AT&T throu out the Country. As a Detail Engineer, I would do the site serveys on AT&T sites. From the Site visits I would produce a Spec. package for the installers to follow and the BOM... material needed... The equipment we were installing and providing site engineering for was DWDM equipment made by NEC, sold to AT&T.

Formally Brooks Fiber Properties and US Signal, before being purchased); Duties included, but not limited to: Processing and Evaluating orders used in converting local dial tone between carriers, as-in Ameritech to MCI/WorldCom.
