Colorado Firefighter Calendar is a non-profit organization that produces Colorado’s official firefighter calendar to raise funds and increase awareness for the Burn Center and Burn Camps Program at Children’s Hospital Colorado.• Responsible for leading and managing the organization toward realizing its mission by implementing its strategic plan, policies, and programs.• Accountable for all revenue generating aspects of the organization, including, sponsorships, signature events, signing events, retail locations/calendar sales, donations, other ways to give, and grant writing, to maximize our donation to the Burn Center and Burn Camps Program at Children's Hospital Colorado.• I work closely with the Board of Directors to ensure all organizational goals are met within strategy, fundraising, operations, financial, marketing, and our mission.

• As the Director of Development, I am a member of Colorado AIDS Project’s executive team and provide leadership and management for a strategic, integrated fundraising program that supports the new statewide organization’s mission and goals.• In this position I am responsible for building, leading, coaching and training a core team of development professionals who oversee individual and corporate giving, private grants, and the donor database, The Raiser’s Edge.• I am responsible for creating and implementing an annual fundraising plan in order to meet all organizational revenue goals. • In charge of incorporating the Board of Directors and other volunteers into fundraising activities.

• I was responsible for all event details, working within budgets and timelines, responding to the goals identified by the board of trustees, event chairs and the zoo as communicated through the Vice President for Development.• I provided on-site management of the following special events: Do At The Zoo, Brew at the Zoo, Zip A De Do at the Zoo, Wildlife Heritage Society Dinner, Donor Recognition Dinners (3), Membership Events (6), committee meetings, donor tours and luncheons. • In 2007, with a budget for three fundraising events of $150,000, I was able to help raise $610,000 for Denver Zoo and its programs.• I worked closely with the corporate relations manager to identify and secure event sponsorships and fulfill sponsor benefits.• I was also tasked with data entry of event related information for auctions, RSVP lists, invitation lists, in-kind donations into the donor database, The Raiser’s Edge.

• We used a unique blend of innovation and strategic thinking to help our clients develop and capitalize on exciting event marketing opportunities. • I managed a 10-member Colorado Lottery Activation Optimization and Leveraging Team. • The main facet of the AOL Team was to activate the Colorado Lottery’s event sponsorship of every fair, festival, and event throughout the state of Colorado. • In addition, the AOL Team was a field promotions and marketing team that executed special events and promotions for the Colorado Lottery.

• I was responsible for the hiring, training, and management of five worldwide Merchandise Field Staff, as well as, for the development, creation, and selling of Up with People Merchandise throughout the world.• On a monthly basis, I was responsible for managing $60,000 in sales, maximizing revenue, controlling expenses, and on-site field support. • On an as needed basis, I oversaw and organized border crossings into and out of Canada, updated the Merchandise Training Manual, developed and implemented new sales techniques, and inventoried and organized a warehouse with over $100,000 in merchandise.

• I oversaw the interviewing process; interviewing prospective students for the Up with People program; coordinated border crossings and visa needs for the cast; supervised the selection and training of interns, assistants and student recruiters, and supervised their activities.• In charge of recruiting students for the Up with People program.• I was responsible for scheduling and conducting presentations about Up with People in high schools and universities all over the world.
