In January 2023 I launched the online magazine The New Climate on Medium.com, to communicate the climate crisis to a broader audience. What started out as a personal blog was quickly picked up by Medium for its growth potential, paying me on a contract basis to edit and work to Boost promising writers. It rapidly became a site with over 10,600 followers.

As a freelance features writer, my articles have regularly appeared in The Guardian, BBC, Financial Times, Sunday Times, and magazines including The New Scientist, Third Sector and People Management. I cover sustainability, the environment, tech and social issues.

My first book, Clearing the Air: The Beginning and the End of Air Pollution (Bloomsbury, 2019) was a journalistic investigation of air pollution that took me around the world, including Delhi, Beijing, Paris and London. Clearing The Air went on to be nominated for the Royal Society Science Book Prize, and I have appeared at numerous literature and science.

I use my writing skills to turn corporate reports into fresh, engaging copy. I've worked for a range of clients and sectors, on issues from sustainable technology to workplace wellbeing. This has included e-books, white papers, reports, roundtables, case studies and articles. I have ghostwritten blogs for a number of CEOs (but, for obvious reasons, I can't.

People Management - the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) magazine - covers key developments in HR, management and Corporate Social Responsibility. As the full-time features writer I worked on writing, copy editing, commissioning, blogging, and video interviews.
