I’m inspired by the reciprocal relationships between people and landscapes: how we change our environments and how we are changed by them.My design work reimagines how we relate to landscape, sensorially, aesthetically, ecologically, and culturally. Within landscape architecture, my interests are in public space design, layering social and ecological function, and equitable urban development.I came to landscape architecture from a background of almost a decade in field-based conservation work. I’ve designed and led projects ranging from habitat restoration, to trail design and construction, to invasive species management. I also worked as an administrator of a non-profit arts organization, where I helped work with the municipal government to bring art to public spaces.I’m good at thinking across scales and graphically representing multiscalar relationships. I balance attention to detail with the ability to quickly generate and iterate on new ideas. My strengths lie equally with digital tools such as Adobe CC products, AutoCAD, and Rhino and with traditional hand drawing and modeling practices.I’m seeking a role in which I can make an impact on the public realm and on the health of the ecosystem. I’m excited to bring the full breadth of my experiences and skills to my practice, from an intimate understanding of working with dirt, wood, stone and plants to refined design thinking and graphical skills.
