AWS Professional Services engages in a wide variety of cloud migration and cloud adoption projects for customers and partners, providing collective experience from across the AWS customer base. Cloud Infrastructure Architects (CIAs) are primarily responsible for architecting solutions for massive scale, resiliency and maintainability. CIAs work with other consultants (e.g. DevOps, Security, and Operations Integration) and AWS service teams to ensure that our solutions and recommendations enable customers and partners to achieve specific business goals and technical outcomes. CIAs coach and educate customers and partners while staying aligned to the Amazon Leadership Principles. I lead customer engagements and build internal initiatives and am viewed as a trusted advisor. I influence multiple internal and external technical and business teams and build solutions that solve complex technical problems. At the European Web Hosting Center for Cable and Wireless I started as a non-technical Service Desk Administrator and progressed to a System Administrator who provided high availability managed services to some of the biggest customers in the UK and Europe. Responsibilities include support and advice on Solaris and Linux platforms to both internal and external customers and also provided an escalation point for 1st and 2nd line engineers throughout Europe.
