Overseeing the ministry teams, staff development and legal operations of YWAM San Francisco Bay area. We are a decentralized movement of teams that has a variety of ministerial approaches according to the context of where we are located in the San Francisco Bay area. Presently we are in 9 locations with a wide range of ministry applications.

I am based out of San Francisco California. I help to oversee the Urban Missions and City emphasis thrust of Youth With A Mission worldwide. My passion in life is how can we bring transformation to cities. By cities I dont just mean the big super giant cities like New York or Tokyo but also the small cities of 50,000 to 1 million in population also. I was the City Coordinator for Chennai YWAM. Chennai is located on the south eastern shore of India and is a city of 8 million people. YWAM was located in St.Thomas Mount with about 75 staff workers. From 1996 to 2005 I set in motion a process of decentralization that led to incarnational ministry and gave empowerment to grass roots leaders. YWAM Chennai grew from being a centralized ministry in a few places to now 17 ministry locations in various places in the city. I oversee the D.Min studies for the Bakke Graduate University in India. D.Min candidates study two cities in India usually Chennai and Kolkata, Chennai and Mumbai or Chennai and Delhi. 5 days are spent in each city visiting a variety of churches, non profits and secular organizations that are addressing issues of poverty, caste, church growth and socio-economic issues. I operated a mid size book and handicraft store in India that I built from scratch with the help of others on my team. I purchased pottery, jewelry, shawls, carpets, leather animals, figurines, handbags, paper products, wood items and other handicrafts from over 40 vendors and sold them to a variety of customers. I also hand selected a variety of books on religion and social issues that were sold in the store.
