Kearns Senior Center

I was the Manager of the Eddie P. Mayne Kearns Senior Center in Kearns, Utah. We served approximately 450 senior citizens by providing active aging activities. In addition, I resided on multiple community committees that focused on improving the lives and well being of all Kearns' senior citizens.I also supervised nine employees. Day to day duties included; managing the congregate meal program, hiring and training staff, developing and maintaining community partnerships, and managing the Senior Center budget.As the largest Area Agency on Aging (AAA) in Utah, Salt Lake County Aging Services is the community focal-point for older adults, their families and caregivers; providing a comprehensive system of services that promote the health and wellbeing of older adults while supporting and assisting seniors who need help to remain independent. Rides For Wellness

At the Rides for Wellness program I was responsible for the daily operations of 24 direct reports. These included Merit dispatchers and transportation drivers. I also created and implemented various new efficient routings that allowed Meals on Wheels deliveries to be accompanied with those receiving medical rides.
