Following the position of VP Design and Architecture at Rock Bottom Restaurants, Tim chose to re-establish Trapp Associates as a leading restaurant design firm. Picking up where he left off in 1995, by creating quality, functional design for national operators. Clients have included: Fox and Hound, Champps, Kona Grill, Jim 'N Nick's BBQ, Taziki's Mediterranean, Cattle Baron Restaurants, Ruth’s Chris, Logan's, Lone Star, O'Charley's, Old Chicago, Chop House, Gordon Biersch and many moreTim and Trapp Associates also excel in working with smaller, independent restaurant operators. Some of these clients are: Greeley Chophouse, Fresh Thymes Eatery, The Acropolis and Oskar Blues.

After many years of having Rock Bottom Restaurants as a client, Tim folded Trapp Associates into that company as the entire Design Department. While there, he helped develop the Chop House, Rock Bottom Brewery and Chop House concepts on a national stage. He managed a team responsible for opening dozens of stores for share holders in a short amount of time.

With the desire to create cutting edge solutions in the hospitality world for other food segments, Tim founded his own design firm. During this 15 year stint, Tim grew Trapp Associates into a multi-person firm dedicated to creating quality design solutions to address the multitude of restaurant operators' needs. The firm handled all development needs for small remodel freshening to national rebranding of concepts. Along the way, Tim helped develop the look of such notable concepts as the Cooker, Chop House and Rock Bottom Breweries. Additional notable clients have included: Garcia's of Scottsdale, Rio Bravo and Tony Roma's.

Tim joined Cork 'N Cleaver to serve as VP Design and Architecture for the Company's expanding development. While there, he oversaw the brand growth from a few stores to 47 units. He helped develop a new, fresh look that showcased the brand as 'timeless' on a national stage.

As a senior associate at Worthington's, Tim became responsible for the restaurant development segment within the firm.

This time period was dedicated to sharing the creative process, design integrity and responsibility with undergraduate and graduate design students. Directing studio environments that pushed students' design abilities with the understanding that good design came from passion and weathering frustration.
