I always ask people: "Do you want me to be good to you or nice to you?" When it comes to financial planning, I've learned and re-learned that people want the truth when it comes to money. They don't want fluffy niceties or a one-size-fits-all "needs approach" to their money. They want to be educated, not "sold". When I decided to leave a decade long career as a Rehabilitation Therapist with the California Dept of Mental Health and get my MBA, I did so with a strong desire to teach people about true principles of business and finance. I've learned a ton along the way, and realized many times that I "didn't know what I didn't know". After 23 years of being in the trenches in business and finance, I've come to a point where I'm 100% confident of the principles I teach people. I have great mentors who have taught and inspired me, and I am simply "passing it forward". I've love connecting with like-minded people and learning from them and exchanging ideas.
