CERCA, launched in 1994, was founded at the direct request of the Internal Revenue Service in order to provide a forum and a liaison point between the IRS and industry as well as other key stakeholders. The ETAAC chair leads the committee meetings and is responsible to organize the committee, coordinate between the committee member and the IRS liaisons, and to ultimately coordinate the production and delivery the final report to Congress and IRS. As the son of an immigrant and founder of an online tax software company, I spoke with at the the IRS Nationwide Tax Conferences discussing diversity in tax offices. Specifically we discussed how tax offices can attract and retain customers who speak different languages or may have different ethnic origins. We took questions from the attendees and had provided unique learning experience for the tax return preparers.
