Tim Vatuone is a technology and finance veteran with more than 30 years of experience. He has raised over $250 million in equity and debt financing and is very familiar with the unique challenges facing emerging growth companies as well as large publicly traded organizations. As a senior strategic financial executive experienced with startups and venture capital investors, Tim joined Trinity Capital Investment, a leading venture finance provider, where he served as CFO and Managing Director. Prior to joining Trinity, Tim founded Vertex Consulting, a strategic financial consulting provider, where he served a wide variety of high-tech clients in the biotech, software and renewable energy sectors. Throughout his career, Tim has served as CFO for numerous companies including Advent Solar, Validity Sensors, Vivid Semiconductor, Syntellect Inc. and Capetronic International Holdings, Ltd., a $400+ million multinational corporation with operations in Taiwan, Thailand and Hong Kong; and sales offices in Japan, the UK, and Germany. Tim started his career in Silicon Valley at HP and did his first startup at Convergent Technologies, a company that grew from $9 million to $325 million in 3 years. Tim loves helping CEO’s and CFO’s leverage his experience and achieve their strategic financial objectives. He currently provides part-time consulting to strategic clients in the Western United States. Vatuone holds a B.S. degree in economics and an MBA degree from the University of Santa Clara and has taught finance, entrepreneurship and business courses at Central New Mexico Community College. Vatuone played college baseball and is still a big fan of what he calls “the world’s greatest game.”
