Kien ICT is a shared service center for educational technology in the region South-Holland. As a team, we make ICT work for primary, secondary and higher education. Trough an unique cooperation governance model, schools bundle expertise and knowhow which results in economies of scale, robustness and innovation. As a system integrator we support a full stack collaborative ICT platform. We feel happy making progress in automation services, consulting services and of course cloud services.As managing director I contribute by designing strategy and leading the organization. One of my main missions is to amaze teachers and students by co-creating and innovating together with stakeholders (members, collegues, suppliers and civil society in general). Equalit is the largest and longest existing ICT shared service center for local authorities in the Netherlands. As a full service ICT outsourcing partner the organisation delivers IT operations, SaaS and consultancy. In my role I was leading our business operations, security and strategic departments together with 30 professionals. Among other things I was responsible for finance, sales, projects, secretary, communication, privacy / information security, strategic planning, IT architecture and a group of agilists (scrum masters).

Got involved in our (local) social housing system. Thuisvester is responsible for adequate andaffordable housing, contributes to the quality of life in neighbourhoods and invests in the construction of new dwellings and sustainability. Contributed in different roles, mainly as a business controller, internal (IT) auditor, group controller during longterm illness replacement (leading a small team for almost a year) and not to forget my bonus role in IT projects (Cloud / Infra outsourcing, ECM implementation, GDPR compliancy). My take aways:- Non-profit enterprises are fun! Pursuing social goals within a strict framework of national laws and regulations, together with local government, tenants and other stakeholders isn't easy. Being accountable to society is a different game.- When done right, auditing is crucial in every organisation. - It is possible multiplying impact by leading a small team of like-minded professionals

I started a new chapter, as a financial (looking back, instead of looking forward). As a controller for large design, build, maintain, finance & operations (DBFMO) contracts I was trying to take control over financial reporting (IFRS) and risk management. At the same time I have tried to lead a cross national team (assistent)controllers (teamsize 10 FTE).Because of the cultural differences between IT and construction business I decided to quit the job way too early.

Shaping consulting, technology and outsourcing tenders/bids together with a team of IT specialist. I have been advised in complex and large (10 mln - 450 mln euro) strategic pricing models. I look back with memories about:- High pressure / high stakes tracks with one common team goal: contract happy customers.- Challenged and stretched my financial modeling skills (I still admire the real 'quants').- Working together with people from all around the world and getting acquainted with the benefits of diversity- Special projects, for the Dutch Railways, on Smart Metering and the Dutch Army

After university, I was obviously keen on finance and information technology. Combining those two interest with my wish to get to know a few companies in a short time, Capgemini gave me a real kickstart. Highlights:- Serving corporate clients like ING and Amlin Corporate Insurance. I was involved with strategic analyses (IT innovation, target operating models, value stream analyses) for large IT programs.- Aligning business needs with IT solutions is harder than we can imagine.- Endless opportunities to work on professional and personal development in a trainee program. Capgemini enabled my post-academic executive master at Tias Business School.

As a young student, several side hustles came across. Now, in my mid thirties, I am starting to appreciate that time even more. - Entrepreneur / founder at Sandwich Supply, a revolutionary sandwich concept. As a student it was all books, theories, papers, hypotheses. Hands-on experience & entrepreneurship still attracted me, therefore Sandwich Supply was born. It was a challenging experiment, where personal and professional development came together. - Office Clerk Rabobank Amerstreek, I started a mechanical engineering program at Eindhoven University of Technology, but dropped out after 6 months. During this gap year I assisted on a KYC compliancy project and a customer portfolio project in the banking industry.- Lifeguard at Roompot ‘De Katjeskelder', in about 12 years I have learned about hospitality and customer interaction. Loved working with 'holiday minded' people and the team.- Delivery guy at DHL for about 5 years
