My professional journey over the last 20 years has resulted in me being an all-rounder with a broad range of skills and experience.In my early 20s I explored Asia and lived in Japan for a few years. In my late 20s I entered the financial services industry. During my 30s I successfully co-founded, grew and exited several businesses, most notably QuoteMonster, which we sold to Quality Product Research, and LifeDirect, which we sold to Trade Me. After spending a few years managing LifeDirect under Trade Me ownership, I took up an exciting role as the Entrepreneur in Residence at Mahuki, Te Papa's accelerator programme. This was a short term contract that involved working with 10 start-ups to help them build sustainable and scalable businesses focused on the cultural sector. More recently I've worked on a number of interesting projects, including directorship positions with a few start-ups, volunteer trustee work, and digital product consultancy gigs. In 2018 I started working for Partners Life. Back in the insurance world there are lots of opportunities to reinvent old processes and build digital products that greatly improve customer experiences. I love building stuff and enjoy being part of a creative team. I'm action oriented and focused on results.
