As Founder of Wild Microbes, I am passionate about harnessing the power and diversity of microbial hosts for bio-based production and sustainability. With a PhD in Biology from Caltech and a certification in Fermentation Technology from MIT, I have the expertise and skills to design, engineer, and optimize novel strains and processes for various applications.Prior to launching Wild Microbes in 2022, I was a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard Medical School, where I worked with George Church and Tom Bernhardt on cutting-edge projects in microbial synthetic biology, gene editing, and engineered living materials, Prior to that, during my PhD at Caltech, I engineered fluorescent proteins and did de novo design of enzymes and protein-based materials. I have published multiple papers in prestigious journals and have co-invented several patents in this field. I also have a background in business and economics from Wharton, which helps me to understand the market and financial aspects of biotechnology.
