I was product design responsible for 13 new functional (electromechanical) and decorative components which integrate with existing carryover structural components, including a complete functional knob design. Responsible for production release of component drawings which include all product specifications and GD&T. Managed successful completion of DV and PV testing.I was awarded a US patent for a preliminary design concept on a 2013 Chrysler C-Sedan ATX Shifter Control Assembly. Design was assembled as part of a quote activity and technical review.Additionally I was assigned Engineering design responsibility for multiple ongoing production programs while at Dura, including: • Ssangyong Motors ATX Shifter Control Assembly. I was an integral team member in implementing Lean standards/methodology on the mfg. line. Also, I was responsible for ongoing product engineering changes – typically product quality improvements, and elimination of ongoing re-work.• GM-Lambda ATX Shifter Control Assembly (GMT 966, 967 & 968). I provided ongoing Product Engineer support for programs already in production, including managing all warranty return part evaluations (GM 5-phase) across the three shifter assemblies. I was responsible for implementing product engineering changes as a result of warranty returns or cost reduction activities, including customer drawing updates and deliverables.
